About the Book:

The Wild Robot Protects by Peter Brown is the third book in The Wild Robot series and continues the story of Roz, the intelligent robot who has built a remarkable life among the animals of a remote island. Peter Brown, an award-winning author and illustrator, combines science fiction, nature, adventure, and heartfelt storytelling to explore the relationship between technology and the natural world. After the events of the first two books, Roz has returned to the island with Brightbill and the animal community she considers family, but a new threat is approaching that puts the entire ecosystem in danger.

When a dying seal arrives with a warning about dangerous, polluted waters moving toward the island, Roz realizes that protecting her home will require more than simply surviving on land. As the animals are forced to move inland and compete for limited resources, Roz undertakes a dangerous journey beneath the ocean to discover what is causing the threat and find a way to save her friends. Filled with adventure, friendship, family, survival, and environmental themes, the novel explores how courage, cooperation, and technology can be used to protect nature and the communities we care about.
