About the Book:

From Rachel Gillig, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Shepherd King series, comes The Knight and the Moth, the first book in the Stonewater Kingdom series and an instant #1 New York Times bestseller that spent eight weeks on the list and was nominated for a Goodreads Choice Award for Romantasy.

In the kingdom of Traum, Sybil Delling is a Diviner—one of six foundling girls who traded a decade of service for a home in Aisling Cathedral. Each night, she receives visions from six unearthly figures known as the Omens, predicting futures for lords and common folk alike. Just as her service nears its end, a mysterious knight arrives at the cathedral. Rude, heretical, and devilishly handsome, Sir Rodrick Myndacious has no respect for Sybil's visions or her gods. But when her fellow Diviners begin vanishing one by one, Sybil has no choice but to seek his help. The world beyond the cloister is wrought with peril, and only a heretic can defeat a god.

Described by Rebecca Ross as "Prepare to meet your next obsession," this mist-cloaked tale of faith, destiny, and slow-burn romance is the opening chapter of Rachel Gillig's Stonewater Kingdom duology, cementing her place as the queen of gothic romantasy.
